The movie is completely ridiculous. The story line is so bland. The visual tech is tacky. The laugh factor is there but not enough.

Why is it ridiculous?
The antagonist aka enemies are easily defeated. Some scenes are very childish. Though I won't recommend it for kids for its dark & violence aspects. It's kind of confusing what the target audience for this movie is. If it is for kids, it's too dark & violence. If it's for adults, it's to much childish fantasy.
Tacky tech? The flaming fire surrounded the skull reminded me of BBQ pit or a hot dog stand. The fiery horse looks like carrousel horsy on fire.
Acting? IMHO, Nicolas Cage is a bit too old fashion for this. I mean if the movie means to be hilarious, use Jim Carey instead! Or if it meant to be a dark thriller, use Brad Pitt or any other serious actor who can make a deep impact!
