The story is about a boy who loves kung-fu movies and a great fan of kung-fu stars like Bruce Lee. Somehow he was brought into the other world where he met a drunken immortal who helped him to accomplish his mission to be able to return to his own world. Along the way he met a monk and a lady called Golden Sparrow . Together they're bound to go against the evil Jade Commander to release Monkey King from his stone imprisonment.

After waiting so long, at last we can see two kungfu-masters who has been successful in Hollywood in one movie. Jackie Chan plays as a drunken immortal and Jet Li plays as a monk in a mission.
It's supposed to be a great bang to the action movie fans but it didn't really hit the spot for me, at least. Many people including myself have been expecting some high-powered adrenalin-boosting action flick but what we have here is a kid fable with some cliche' story found in a lot of other kid's movies like Narnia, The Seeker, etc.
Jackie and Jet are still showing their prowess in martial arts and the special effect is somehow good enough................for kids.
Conclusion :
Don't go for it if you're an avid fan of action movie. However if you have spare money and want to let your brain take it easy then, by all means, jump on it.
