This movie is rather unique in the sense that it's about one of the most taboo things to talk about, which is homophobic relationship. Jake Gyllenhaal, with his semi-feminine face, is a really a good match to his role here. On the other hand, Heath Ledger throws a good show with his complex psychic condition.

I have to give two thumbs up for these two guys who at some points willing to bare it all for the audience. Honestly, seeing two guys kissing each other is a bit disturbing but if you think this is for the sake of art, I believe you can bear with it.

I would've never expected Ang Lee, the director of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, able to give such an interesting story of unpopular topic like this one. This probably shows that human has soft side as well as hard side aka The Hulk.

Verdict :

Approach this movie as an art piece. If you feel bored and want to get away from typical comedy, drama and action movies, go and watch this one. I promise you'll feel refreshed. However make sure that you have the guts to watch the 'scenic' part of it otherwise you'll miss a lot.

It's fun to see Bruce Banner turns to a green hulking-bodied low-intelligence human called hulk ( 'doh). This is the first big wide-screen movie about Hulk, the green monster the result of a scientist having his DNA messed up.
Somethings are not right in place. The CGI looks so obvious and make the Hulk looks like green human-shaped rubber bouncing around. However the Hulk is well designed in that it somehow looks like Eric Bana's mutated brother. Eric Bana's first major title role as Bruce Banner is a perfect match. He has this kind of charisma and stubborness in his eyes that a determined and outstanding researcher has. Jennifer Connely as Betty Ross is as beautiful as ever. These two appearance saved the movie from long-winding speeches and draggy storyline. In the end, it make the cash register ringing due to the high popularity of it.

Ca-Ching!

Verdict:
If you expect to see Hulk in action most of the time, you'll be disappointed. If you are curious on Bruce's childhood and why he becomes the green monster when he's cross then you'll like this piece. You might have time to go to toilet when you watch this movie since some scenes portray people talking endlessly but be sure that you're on your seat when the green monster in action.

At last a Batman movie that is made for adults. This movie features Batman in darker ambience, starting from how he became Batman in the first place, much darker than the Michael Keaton's and Val Kilmer's.
I believe this is the most exciting Batman installment so far. The story was much longer than the first three Batman's. It tells a lot about the psychic issues Bruce has to endure during his childhood and how he fights his fear to finally accept the reality.

Verdict:
I strongly recommend for people who is a avid fan of Batman to watch this installment. This is really a whole new movie by itself which doesn't have
anything related with the first three. Don't forget your popcorn and Coke since you'll be sitting on your seat for the whole 140mins with eyes open wide.

The way of Samurai life has been showed amazingly in this movie. High discipline, full of smile, and peace are something they do everyday, which is contradictory with the image of samurai. The samurai's leader, Katsumoto, was very tough and wise leader, played very well by Ken Watanabe. This leader like conversation so much and acted funny on a stage also. A kind of very amazing leader, I think.
Nathan Algren, the main character, was played perfectly by Tom Cruise. Looks like he gave a lot of effort to play this movie. From learned to speak Japanese, learned to play kendo (martial art for samurai-like), until old-Japanese's way of life. The way he fought against four assassins was amazing.
The spirit of samurai also showed when they fought bitterly with Japanese government army who use machine guns and cannons at the end of the movie.
The story has been written properly from the first fight until the last fight, the intensity was increasing. The ending of the movie was satisfactorily. One more thing, the music arrangement is very nice...
Actually, it's another story of American hero in another foreign country. But anyway, this is a very good movie.

I like watching war movie with some dose of romance, intrigue and thriller. This movie provides a good mix of intensity of fierce battles and sweetness of romance. The three main actors did a pretty good except Donnie still falls short when it comes to romance. He undoubtedly need to learn from Leon in that department.

The battle scenes are not the focus of the movie which is why I tend to think of it to belong to drama genre instead of action. Donnie, as always, looks invigorated to kick the enemy's butts.

Conclusion :

It's a good movie with blockbuster actors. The chemistry between Leon and Kelly is great. Donnie still can not score on romance acting but he really delivers when it comes to action.
